Animations and intros on websites
Category: DesignThe times of flash intros and flashing buttons are definitely gone and over the hill. Animations are consciously used only if there is an extra benefit respectively a surplus for the user rather than just being a decorative thing.
The general tendency of a screen design points anyway to elementary structured, but despite of that (or actually because of it) graphically appealing websites with intelligible colours and styles, thus makes the web presence automatically modern and — what is more — however timeless.
Animated graphics and flashed intros, which were very posh a few years ago, appear very quickly out of date in the fast moving media of internet business—if they are not yet annoying! Anyone who's seeking information in the internet may be displeased by every clicking- on-skip-intro-button — even if the animated graphic is skillful and with creative air realised.
Just a few years ago an immense number of websites were «jazzed up» with some flash intros and animated things. It had been considered as a cheap and quick action to valorise the internet presence.
But!, contrariwisely, a flash intro (or just a navigation system realised in flash in a so-called static website) may be very counterproduktive, considering the fact you want to get high on google ranking.
