The portal "weltkarte.com" specialised in world and city maps was based on approximately 1000 static single pages. The portal was very well visited and already well positioned in the search engine index. But now the owner of  "weltkarte.com" expressed the wish to transfer the whole web site to a content management system without losing the good position in the search engine index. Therefore the whole site and folder structure had to be carried over more or less unmodified.

By means of a self programmed PHP-interface the site structure could be transferred directly into the new database. TYPO3 was chosen as CMS because of its excellent scalability. The extension "RealURL" had been configured to reproduce the site structure and HTML-folder-tree of the former web site. Furthermore the design of the web site had been completely made over and modernised as well as a new logo designed.

Web banners were designed as instruments of online marketing and extensive search engine opimisation implemented as well as a TYPO3-extension to manage the numerous link lists.
